EUlectionplay, European Parliament election youth ambassadors
At the beginning of 2024, as part of the EUlectionplay project, we launched the 2024 EP Election Ambassador Competition. The competition was open to young people, students, with an inspiring entry to showcase to their peers so that they could take part in the elections as well.
We had a number of entrants and we selected 7 ambassadors. The ambassador’s task was to organise a workshop in their school or community to raise interest in the EP elections. At the same time, through the workshop, they had to collect 10 recommendations that were suggested by the participants or that they concluded together. These recommendations were to include suggestions for active youth participation in processes (elections, campaigns, petitions, etc.) at EU level.
The ambassadors were also asked to prepare a short video summarizing the atmosphere of the workshop. We think that they managed to do it quite well. What do you think ?
